One of the disadvantages of drinking water after meal will disturb the normal digestion process. A glass of water before eating your meal is the more efficient and simplest way to decrease the number of calories in your body. So, water will fill space in your stomach and you will eat less food than usual, and drinking water after a meal may harm you. 

For the same reason, when you consume or drink a large amount of water before or during your meal then less space available for food digestion and ultimately slows down the digesting process. 

Hence, you feel discomfort and bloating drinking water after meal. Furthermore, it is also not suitable to drink more water right after your meal to prevent disturbance of stomach digesting activity due to more fluids.

Nevertheless, these colorful drinks enrich with sugar and artificial sweeteners that are not suitable for your body. Recent research has revealed that such kind of artificial sweeteners disturbs digestion. 

Additionally, they increase your appetite and ultimately responsible for weight gaining. If you want to add flavor to your water then select from these natural sources like lemon, mint, lime, cucumber, and watermelon.


4. Clear & Transparent Urine:


Drinking after clear urine is the other disadvantage of drinking water in this condition we should avoid water for some time. If the color of your urine is clear, light, or transparent then it means your body has enough water for maintaining internal osmotic conditions and you must avoid drinking water further. 

On the other hand, if the condition reverse and the urine color is dark yellow then there is needed to drink a large amount of water.


5. Involved in Continuous Strenuous Activity:

It is not forbidden to drink water during exercise. But you must have to keep in your mind that when your body is engaged in exercise then it is deprived of some electrolytes like sodium and potassium due to continuous sweating. For compensation of these electrolytes only water is not enough as it does not contains enough electrolytes.

However, be aware and be careful with sports drinks that comprise sugar as well in addition to electrolytes. You must have to check the ingredients table to know about electrolytes and sugar concentrations before drinking it. Coconut water is suggested as it contains all essential electrolytes like sodium, magnesium, potassium, and a lower number of calories as well.
